Not much news but you can get lottery tickets and several different beers. No liquor. Simple menu not gourmet but not bad. Can be smoky in here. Locals go here but if your a tourist I didn’t find the bar keep what you would call...friendly service. Have stopped in several times over the years when passing thru. The teams of volunteers run the mobile clinics in the villages mostly during the weekends as they work in public and private hospitals across Ukraine during the week. Popular musical shows returning to The Villages Rather than hanging out with a small minority of people who spend their days sitting in a bar, Michelle Cottle should have spent her time in the Villages finding out about the thousands of people here who work together raising money for charities. She could have written about the options for intellectual pursuits like the Civil Discourse Club, the Writers League of the Villages and the 1,300-member Villages Genealogical Society.

There’s an insistence to that community; the Villages cannot be an easy place for an introvert. The ubiquitous golf carts often have the names of the passengers emblazoned in script on their hoods, man in the driver’s seat, woman on the passenger side: Dennis and Sally; John and Beth. Signs outside of houses often offer the same information. There’s no excuse for not knowing your neighbor in the Villages.
